Biography
Roberta Pratt was appointed as Chief Information Officer in 2019. The position is a shared resource with the Board of Education. Roberta provides leadership for development of a robust and secure technology environment that is capable of delivering innovative solutions to the town and BOE. Working closely with the Mayor’s office and the Superintendents office, Roberta’s major responsibilities include Information Technology Security, Governance and policy, technology protocols and processes, resource allocation as well as budget development.
Prior to her appointment as CIO for East Hartford, Roberta was the Director of Technology for New Milford Public Schools and Seymour Public Schools. Roberta has more than two decades of experience as a Technology leader. Roberta is a member of the CEN advisory committee, MS-ISAC and Infragard security groups. Roberta has a Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Systems, has gone through the CETL program and graduated with a certification. Roberta holds several certifications in various technologies and technology security areas.
